I want to remind you that I am hosting a zoning meeting on Sunday 2/25 and share some additional announcements.
Join Ward 4 Alderman Jesse Clingan and members of the City of Somerville Planning Department for a neighborhood meeting about the upcoming zoning overhaul. This is your chance to learn more about the proposed zoning and have your questions answered.
When: Sunday 2/25 4-6pm
Where: Temple B'nai Brith

I93 Air Pollution Meeting:
On Monday March 5 there will be a meeting to discuss organizing to address I 93 air pollution at the Mystic Learning Center on 530 Mystic Ave. Refreshments will be served at 5:30pm and the event will start at 6pm. I think this conversation is long overdue and action needs to be taken to mitigate the air pollution affecting Somerville residents.
New Appointments Advisory Committee:
The city is looking for three residents interested in reviewing applications and making recommendations for Mayor-appointed boards and commissions that have regulatory or decision-making authority. If you're interested in applying to be on the Appointments Advisory Committee send your name, address, telephone, email address, and a brief statement outlining your interest and any relevant qualifications by Monday, March 5.

On Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 am the Somerville Democratic Committee will host a caucus to elect Delegates for the State Convention. It should be an interesting year with the upcoming Governor's race. The caucus meeting will take place in the Somerville High School cafeteria. Each ward will elect delegates to send to the state convention to nominate candidates for governor. You must be a registered Democrat to vote or run. If you aren't already you can register to vote or change your party affiliation online at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/ or go to the Elections Dept at City Hall.
School Career Fair:
If you're curious about career opportunities with the Somerville Public Schools you'll want to stop by the district's career fair on Saturday March 10. Stop by the East Somerville Community School (50 Cross St.) between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to learn about positions available in schools across the city.
